The Jardine Cycle & Carriage Group acquired a 31% stake in P.T. Astra International Tbk Indonesia and a 100% stake in Truck Investments Limited in New Zealand.

A partnership with a new company with Daimler Chrysler AG to handle the wholesale activities of the Mercedes-Benz operations in Singapore, where the Group became an exclusive dealer for the marque.

Cycle & Carriage commenced retailing Kia vehicles in Singapore.
