Anthony Nightingale

Mr Nightingale was appointed Chairman in 2002, having served on the Board since 1993. He was last re-elected as a director on 29th April 2010. He is the Managing Director of Jardine Matheson Holdings, Jardine Strategic, Dairy Farm, Hongkong Land and Mandarin Oriental. He is also a commissioner of Astra and Chairman of Jardine Matheson Limited, Jardine Motors and Jardine Pacific. Mr Nightingale is Chairman of the Business Facilitation Advisory Committee established by the Financial Secretary in Hong Kong, a member of the Commission on Strategic Development, a member of the Committee on Strategic Enhancement of Hong Kong as an International Financial Centre, a vice president of The Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong, a council member of the Employers’ Federation of Hong Kong, a Hong Kong representative to the APEC Business Advisory Council and a member of Chongqing Mayor’s International Economic Advisory Council. He is also a Justice of Peace and Chairman of The Sailors Home and Missions to Seamen in Hong Kong. Mr Nightingale holds a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Classics from Peterhouse, Cambridge.
